USEFUL ANSWERS
Before you request a quote.
These answers explain how projects involving tiling, non-slip coatings and maintenance are assessed, what information helps and what happens next.
Tiling
01What tiling work do you undertake?+
We complete floor and wall tiling for new builds, renovations and repairs, including preparation, bedding, waterproofing and finishing where required. Every project is assessed and clearly scoped before work begins.
02Can a damaged tiled area be repaired without replacing everything?+
Often, yes. A targeted repair may be suitable when the substrate and surrounding tiling are sound and suitable replacement tiles are available.
03Do you handle surface preparation and waterproofing?+
Yes. We handle substrate preparation, priming and bedding, including falls and waterproofing where required, so the tiling is properly supported from the start.
Non-Slip Coatings
04Can existing surfaces be made less slippery?+
In many cases, yes. Stellmann non-slip coatings can improve traction on suitable existing surfaces and provide a practical alternative to replacement. The condition, substrate and intended use are assessed first.
05What surfaces can be coated?+
Stellmann systems can be applied to many suitable surfaces, including tile, natural and engineered stone, concrete, timber, vinyl and lino, acrylic, fibreglass, epoxy, polyurethane, glass and metal. Surface condition and adhesion must be assessed first.
06Will a non-slip coating change the appearance of the surface?+
Clear systems retain the existing appearance, although a subtle satin finish may be visible. Coloured systems intentionally change the finish, and the expected result is discussed before quoting.
07Which slip rating do I need?+
The appropriate system—P3 Soft, P3, P4 or P5—depends on the surface, exposure to water or contaminants, gradient, footwear and intended use. Precision Tiling Projects assesses the area before recommending a system.
Maintenance
08What property maintenance work do you undertake?+
We complete practical residential and commercial repairs, close-out items and property maintenance, with particular experience in tiled and wet areas. The scope is reviewed first to confirm the work is suitable.
09Can several small maintenance items be completed in one visit?+
Often, yes. Send a clear list and photos in advance so the required labour, tools and materials can be planned before attendance.
10Can maintenance work be completed in an occupied property?+
Often, yes. Access, operating hours and site restrictions are discussed before booking so the work can be planned with minimal disruption.
General
11Do you handle small jobs as well as larger projects?+
Yes. We specialise in smaller jobs and repair work, while also completing larger tiling, non-slip coating and property maintenance projects.
12Do you work with residential and commercial properties?+
Yes. We work with homeowners, builders, property managers and commercial operators, subject to the project type, scope and location.
13Which areas do you service?+
We service South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Projects outside the Brisbane region may attract an additional service fee, but please get in touch—we’re always happy to discuss your project and see how we can help get it across the line.
14What information should I provide when requesting a quote?+
Please provide the property address, an accurate description, clear photos, approximate measurements and any access, parking or timing restrictions. This helps us scope the work accurately before a site visit.
15How can I help reduce the cost of my project?+
Because the work requires specialised preparation, tools and installation, there is limited scope for owners to assist directly. Having the area cleared and ready for access before work begins can help reduce labour time and keep costs down.
